PRODUCT SAFETY RECALL
Barbie, Spiderman, Star Wars, Frozen, LOL, Minecraft Light up Thongs – all sizes.

The safety of our customers is top priority of Caprice Australia Pty Ltd (A.C.N. 080 534 023). We recognise that button batteries can pose a serious risk of harm if they are accessed by young children. As a result, while we are not aware of any injuries associated with the following products, we wish to inform customers that as a precautionary measure we are proactively recalling:
Sold Nationally at BIG W from 7 September 2020 to 11 May 2022
DESCRIPTION:
Barbie, Spiderman, Star Wars, Frozen, LOL and Minecraft Light up Thongs sold in BIG W stores nationally between the 7 September 2020 – 11 May 2022.
DEFECT:
The button battery may be exposed when extensive wear occurs over a significant period of use.
HAZARD:
If young children gain access to the button batteries and ingest them, they may suffer severe internal burn injuries, which can result in serious illness or death. Button batteries also pose a choking hazard to young children.
ACTION REQUIRED:
Customers should immediately cease using the thongs and return them to any BIG W store in Australia for a full refund. Caprice Australia Pty Ltd apologises to its customers for any inconvenience caused by this recall.
